Tohqa: A Culinary Experience in El Puerto de Santa María

Tohqa is located in the picturesque El Puerto de Santa María and is a culinary highlight that originated in a monastery. What was once a monastery, later a bar, is now home to a gastronomic restaurant where the former El Arriete has gained a new identity. The restaurant's style is a unique blend of rustic and modern, with a charming courtyard that adds a pleasant atmosphere to the space.

The Pérez Brothers: A Passion for Grilled Dishes

Tohqa is the work of brothers Eduardo and Juan José Pérez, who together form the creative force behind the restaurant. Eduardo, also known as the "fire cook," is in charge of grilling the local products. Juan José is the sommelier and ensures a perfect wine experience at the restaurant. Together, they share a passion for the grilled dishes of Andalusia, using only the best local ingredients, such as eel, tuna, shrimp, and squid. Some of these ingredients even come from their father’s family farm in El Saucejo, a village in the province of Seville.
