San Juan Celebration at Copo Beach in Torre del Mar

Torre del Mar, a charming coastal town in Vélez-Málaga, gears up for a vibrant event on Friday, June 23. The San Juan festival will take place on Copo Beach. Expect an evening packed with great music, tasty food, and a dazzling fireworks display.

Live Music Starts the Night

The party kicks off at 9 PM with El Regreso de la Década. This band will play nostalgic hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Their music sets a lively tone for the night.

Taste the Local Specialty

While the music plays, visitors can enjoy "espetos de sardinas" — grilled sardine skewers that are a local favorite. Organizers will prepare about 350 kilos of sardines, enough for everyone to try this traditional treat.

More Music to Keep the Energy Up

After the first band, the Canarian group Efecto Pasillo takes over. Known for catchy rhythms and dynamic performances, they will keep the energy high and the crowd engaged.

Fireworks Light Up the Sky

At midnight, the night sky will erupt in a spectacular fireworks show. Bright colors and patterns will illuminate the beach, creating a stunning visual treat.

Closing with a Bang

The final act of the night is We Are Sau. Their lively music will round off the celebration, leaving everyone with lasting memories.

Local Support and Summer Kickoff

Jesús Pérez Atencia, acting deputy mayor of Vélez-Málaga, highlighted the importance of this event. He said San Juan marks the start of a busy summer full of activities. Events like this also support the local economy and promote Vélez-Málaga year-round.

Torre del Mar offers beautiful beaches, rich culture, and vibrant events. The San Juan celebration promises a memorable evening for locals and visitors, setting the tone for a summer filled with fun in this lively coastal town.
