Michelin Guide Spain 2024: a record-breaking year for Spanish gastronomy

Two new restaurants join the Three MICHELIN Stars club.
Disfrutar in Barcelona and Noor in Córdoba now shine at the top of the culinary world. With these additions, Spain reaches 15 restaurants with Three MICHELIN Stars. A historic high.
One new Two Star restaurant, and 31 new One Star spots
The culinary map of Spain just got even more exciting. One new restaurant received Two MICHELIN Stars. But the real fireworks came from the 31 new restaurants with One MICHELIN Star. That brings the national total to an impressive 271 starred establishments.
From the north of Galicia to the beaches of Marbella, top-level cuisine is booming. Whether you’re in the mood for tradition or innovation, there’s a new MICHELIN spot waiting for you.
Sustainability is no side dish
The 2024 guide doesn't just reward flavour. Twelve restaurants earned a MICHELIN Green Star for their commitment to sustainability. Casa Marcial is among the newest to receive this honour, showing that taste and responsibility go hand in hand.
Chefs with a mission
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, praised the new generation of Spanish chefs. Their creativity, local roots and love for regional produce are shaping the future of Spanish dining.
Small towns are now serious players on the culinary scene. It’s not just Barcelona or Madrid anymore—Baeza, Jaén and even Canfranc-Estación are putting themselves on the gourmet map.
Spain’s culinary identity is alive and evolving
The MICHELIN Guide Spain 2024 is more than a list of stars. It’s a snapshot of a country where food means passion, identity and innovation. Expect a mix of bold flavours, refined technique and deep respect for local traditions.
