Cruzcampo: Brewing Beer with Acento Since 1904

Cruzcampo pilsen-

When you think of refreshing beer, sunny afternoons and Spanish brewing heritage, one name stands out: Cruzcampo. Born in Sevilla, this beer isn't just something you drink—it's something you feel. Full of flavour, full of history, and full of Andalusian acento.

It All Started with a Dream (and Two Brothers)

Back in 1904, Tomás and Roberto Osborne had a bold idea. They wanted a beer that could handle the heat of southern Spain. A beer that tasted like home. Sevilla became their brewing ground, thanks to its water—surprisingly similar to that of Pilsen in the Czech Republic, the birthplace of Pilsner.

They chose a spot next to the Templete de la Cruz del Campo in the Nervión district. That little shrine didn’t just lend its name to the beer. It gave Cruzcampo its soul.

A Yeast Like No Other

Cruzcampo's magic? It lies in its yeast. Discovered early on, this special strain gave their beer a crisp bitterness with hints of spice and fruit. It’s what made Cruzcampo stand out then—and still does now.

With just 200 employees, the brewery quickly grew. Horse-drawn carts delivered crates of Cruzcampo through Andalusia. Ships took it even further—across to the Canary Islands and up to the African coast.

Brewing with Sun, Soul and Sevilla

Cruzcampo stayed true to its roots. The brew masters swapped Pilsen’s river for the Guadalquivir and added something no recipe can copy: the Andalusian sun. It’s more than just heat. It’s an ingredient in its own right. And it’s infused in every bottle.

A Line-Up Full of Acento

Cruzcampo isn’t one-size-fits-all. From the smooth Especial to the bold Gran Reserva Tostada, each beer has its own vibe. Craving something lighter? Tremenda, Radler, or 0.0 have your back. Gluten-free? There's Especial Sin Gluten. Same taste, just a different twist.

Each one is brewed with the same care and character that’s been in the brand for over a century.

Final Sip

Cruzcampo is more than a drink. It’s a taste of Andalusia, a nod to tradition, and a toast to innovation. So next time you raise a glass of Cruzcampo, remember: you're not just having a beer. You’re sipping on history—with plenty of acento.
