Playas Fuengirola

"On the Playas of Fuengirola you will find the perfect harmony of sun, sea and bliss. Let the waves wash away your worries while the Spanish sun warms your heart. Here on the beaches of Fuengirola you will find peace and joy, wrapped in golden sand and azure blue sea."
Fuengirola

Fuengirola: sun, sea, and Spanish charm

Looking for a place where you can swap beach days for tapas, markets, and castles? Then Fuengirola is your spot. This seaside town on the Costa del Sol knows exactly how to serve up a relaxing holiday. From your hotel room, you can practically roll straight onto the promenade. And with more than 7 kilometers of beach, there’s always a sunny spot waiting for your towel.

There’s more than just sun and sea, too. Think the impressive Sohail Castle, buzzing weekly markets, and nightlife that doesn’t know when to quit. Add a generous dose of Spanish hospitality, and it’s easy to see why people keep coming back.

Playa de Fuengirola: the sandy heart of the city

This is Fuengirola’s main beach – and also the busiest. No surprise, really. It’s got everything you need: wide stretches of sand, clear water, beach bars (chiringuitos) for a cold cerveza, and water sports for those who get restless after five minutes of sunbathing.

Perfect for: fans of lively vibes, convenience, and having everything within reach.

Playa de Los Boliches: peace and quiet, please

On the east side of town, you’ll find Playa de Los Boliches. It’s spacious and calm – less touristy, more local. Families love it for its gentle sea and great facilities. Think clean showers, sunbed rentals, and plenty of restaurants nearby for a laid-back lunch with a view.

Perfect for: families, peace seekers, and anyone who’d rather finish their book than join a beach volleyball match.

Playa de Santa Amalia: for a touch of green

West of the center lies Playa de Santa Amalia, a beach with a more natural vibe. It’s less polished but full of character, surrounded by palm trees. Expect a mix of sand and pebbles – so bring your flip-flops. Luckily, the relaxed atmosphere and sea views more than make up for it.

Perfect for: beach lovers who enjoy peace and a dash of nature.

Playa de Carvajal: views, space, and stillness

A bit further west is Playa de Carvajal – wider, quieter, and offering a phenomenal view over the bay. It’s got that perfect holiday feel without the crowds. Ideal for sipping a glass of wine while watching the sunset, or doing absolutely nothing in peace.

Perfect for: couples, tranquility seekers, and golden hour selfie fans.

Sandy toes and plenty to do

Fuengirola has the beach vibe down to a science. Whether you're here for the sun, the tapas, or simply to unwind – you won’t be bored for a second. And with so many beaches to choose from, there's always one that matches your holiday mood.

Sun’s out, towel down. Fuengirola takes care of the rest.
