The city of Málaga is making a major leap in the fields of science and technology. The building permit is approved: Spain’s largest planetarium will be constructed opposite Benítez Park. And this isn’t just any project—it will also be one of the largest planetariums in Europe. The construction is being led by UTE Málaga Planetarium, which secured a 37-year lease on the site through a public tender.

The main hall of the planetarium will have a diameter of 27 meters and can accommodate 432 people at once, making it the largest of its kind in Spain. There will also be 116 parking spaces for visitors. The investment? Over 5.3 million euros, excluding VAT.
